Beginning January 6, pre-employment queries and registrations were a federal requirement for new truck drivers through the FMCSA’s Clearinghouse. When it was first online and available to use the amount of registrations and requests crashed the site making it so companies had to manually check new driver backgrounds. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has now fixed the glitches and employers can once again send their query requests and new drivers can send their registrations.
