I know there are a lot of fleets out there ready to get back on the road after this COVID-19 stuff calms down, but just rolling out of the yard may not be a good idea. Getting back on the road shouldn’t be a quick thing, you should be ready for it, especially since so much has changed. Your trucks have been sitting around, not getting used, so they should be scheduled for a visit to the shop to make sure everything is running, filled, and checked properly. Next, make sure you are compliant with all the new rules and regulations out there that have to do with COVID-19. There are a lot of exemptions, bills, and emergency waivers you should be up to date on. Last but not least, make sure your drivers have all the updated information they need to be successful and safe while out on the road. It’s a different world out there and we need to be ready for it.
