Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation put out a warning for potential cyber-attacks on electronic logging devices. According to a major ELD maker, there are currently no ELDs hacked out there and the FBI’s warning was just that, a warning about the potential risk to ELDs. There is a possibility that ELDs can be hacked causing major harm to carriers depending on how they are attacked and how their information gets used.
