Truck driving is one of those jobs only certain people can do, especially when the weather turns and the roads get treacherous. It’s not just the weather that makes the roads difficult, sometimes roads are not built for big rigs and problems tend to follow. Here are some of America’s most dangerous roads for truckers:
- U.S. Highway 2 in Montana. The 760-mile stretch has high winds, black ice, and runs through a lot of rural areas making emergency response time very high.
- U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado. The 25-mile stretch is very twisty through the mountains and the weather is very erratic through most of the year.
- Interstate 10 in Arizona. The 150-mile stretch from Phoenix to California has high traffic, lacks median barriers, and tends to bore drivers through its desert areas.
