With electric trucks being the talk of the town out there in the trucking industry these days, they have yet to catch on for long-haul trucking. Well, MIT has developed a plug-in hybrid engine that can operate just as well as a diesel engine, is quite a bit cheaper, and could quite possibly go the distance. There are a lot of trucking companies out there looking for cleaner options for their fleets and like California, some are forced to give off less greenhouse emissions. All in all, this may be something worth looking into.
