Walmart Canada is doing its part to lower the emissions put out by 18-wheelers and is committed to finding alternative powers to keep its supply chain rolling. They have announced the reserving of 130 electric Tesla Semi trucks. This is part of the $3.5 billion investment Walmart Canada put out over the next five years to generate business growth and to help push for zero emissions by 2040. The Tesla Semi will reduce operating costs when compared to using diesel, has a 500-mile range, has braking technology that puts energy back into the battery, and has plenty of automatic safety features.
